Since 2008 ACODO (Assisting Cambodian Orphans and the Disabled Organization) has been operating as an orphanage in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We are an audited, non-governmental, non-political, non-profit organization and officially registered charity with The Royal Cambodian Government (charity number 893). ACODO has officially accepted MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) from The Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation on the 23rd of October 2012.

artilce imgToday our orphanage provides shelter, nutritious food, healthcare, high quality educational opportunities and, above all, a loving home for 25 children who come from backgrounds of extreme poverty and depravation. It really is a special place, one of hope, aspiration and kindness.

68% left the orphanage after they grew up. We provide support to both children and their families by Community Training Centre, three sub-programmes (life skills, vocational skills and indigent family support). ACODO Community Training Centre has the capacity to teach and support a further 6,000 vulnerable and victimised children directly, 13,200 weak and poor students and 30,000 family members indirectly.

As education is the bedrock to sustainable change all our children attend lessons in dedicated classrooms at our orphanage. As we strive towards self sufficency we have leased farmland to provide food for our orphanage and local communities.

We offer practical support to empower local communities at the grassroots level through our Indigent Family Support program.

For less than a $1 per day you can sponsor one of our orphans. Your involvement will bring personal satisfaction and make a huge and lasting change to a child's life.
